Highlights from the 12th SAGIM Meeting in Copenhagen
The 12th meeting of the Scandinavian Association for Motility and Neurogastroenterology (SAGIM) took place in Copenhagen, gathering 50 participants from Nordic countries and other parts of Europe. Despite the cancellation of the PhD Network meeting due to a low number of registrations, the conference offered a robust scientific program with contributions from both Danish and European experts.
The meeting featured presentations on a range of topics, including:
- Highlights from the upper GI tract
- Highlights from the small intestine and the colon
- Pain and novel methods in stimulation of the GI tract
- FMT (fecal microbiota transplantation) in different diseases
Participants engaged actively with the speakers, creating a dynamic and inquisitive atmosphere. Networking opportunities during the breaks allowed attendees to connect, share experiences, and discuss ideas for potential collaborations. These informal exchanges helped foster discussions on future projects and strategies to tackle shared challenges in the field of motility and neurogastroenterology.
The event was supported by sponsors SynMed and Enterra, whose continued collaboration has been instrumental in facilitating the meeting's success.
Looking ahead, the next SAGIM meeting will adhere to the long-standing tradition of inviting speakers and participants from Scandinavia and beyond. Scheduled to take place at the Tivoli Congress Center in Copenhagen, the program will include:
PhD Network Meeting: November 6, 2025
SAGIM Meeting: November 7, 2025
Mark your calendars and stay tuned for further updates on what promises to be another insightful gathering for the motility and neurogastroenterology community.
