IBS Days in Bologna with experts from all over the world
The 2022 edition of the biennial IBS DAYS congress was held in Bologna on June 20-22 and provided current views and a look to the future on the rapidly advancing field of IBS. The meeting, endorsed by ESNM, included lectures by leaders in the field of IBS and DGBI covering aspects of epidemiology, genetic factors, diet, microbiota, inflammation, infection, biomarkers as well as diagnosis and current and future therapeutic approaches.
This year edition included in the program original scientific contributions for a total of 12 oral presentations and 46 posters. The meeting hosted also the ESNM steering committee meeting and the general assembly of DISCOVERIE project, the European H2020 consortium on IBS. The meeting was very successful with an overall attendance of 622 delegates from around the world. During the closing ceremony the best abstracts were awarded and included excellent presentations by ESNM and external members including the awards for best oral presentations to Isotta Bozzarelli (Spain), Giada De Palma (Canada), Ines Trindade (Sweden) and best poster presentation to Christian Lambiase (Italy), Maria Raffaella Barbaro (Italy), Leticia Camargo Tavares (Australia).
