Survey: Differences in IBS Care & Training in Europe (DICE Study)

Differences in IBS Care and Training across Europe (DICE Study), supported by ESNM, aims to explore the variations in IBS training and management across Europe. Our current survey will help improve IBS management and make progress of education in this sector of gastroenterology.

Annual Meeting: DGNM online

Sixty-three participants from different disciplines joined the 28th annual meeting of the German Society of Neurogastronenterology and Motility (DGNM) from March 6th to 7th, 2021. Because of ongoing restrictions due to the SARS-COV2 pandemic, the meeting took place online.  

BgSNM new ESNM affiliated society

Welcome! Bulgarian Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (BgSNM) was founded at the Bulgarian Congress of Gastroenterology in May 2019.  From now on BgSNM is the newest affiliated society of ESNM.

A New International Questionnaire Study

A Genetic research in functional dyspepsia: The FunDysGWAS study

A heritable component of functional dyspepsia (FD) has been demonstrated in cohorts of patients and community-based studies. However, genetic studies of FD have thus far been very scarce and mostly limited to candidate genes in small sample sets of cases and controls, hence no unequivocal FD risk locus has been proposed.

The pandemic changed the traditional structure of the 33th anniversary meeting of Scandinavian Association of Neurogastroenterology and Motility (SAGIM). Our international guests were prevented from participation and only Danish sponsors and participants attended this year’s meeting.

Report: Human Small Bowel Motility Workshop

The workshop "Human Small Bowel Motility" (Nottingham University) was run as online event on November 19th 2020 and it was well attended with 120 participants. The workshop was well received both for the topic, the selection of speakers and the organization including the lack of technical issues.
